About GLP-1 Medicine.
What medication will I actually get?+
Most patients are prescribed compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide from an FDA-regulated U.S. compounding pharmacy. Your physician selects based on your history, labs, and goals. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies but are not themselves FDA-approved products.
Is this the same as Wegovy / Ozempic / Mounjaro?+
No. Wegovy, Ozempic, and Mounjaro are FDA-approved brand-name medications. The compounded medications your physician may prescribe use the same active ingredient (semaglutide or tirzepatide), prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy to your prescription. They are not themselves FDA-approved products.
How is it administered?+
Typically a once-weekly subcutaneous injection using a small needle. Your physician and the pharmacy provide detailed instructions; most patients become comfortable within a couple of weeks.
What are the side effects?+
Most common: mild GI effects (nausea, reflux, constipation), especially during the first two weeks as your body adjusts. These typically ease with time and individualized dose titration. Less common but more serious risks (pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, hypoglycemia in certain contexts) are reviewed in detail at intake.
Whether You’re a Fit.
Who qualifies?+
WOP is designed for adults 30–60 who are a medical fit for GLP-1 therapy. Generally that means BMI at or above 27 with weight-related comorbidities, or 30+ without. Your physician evaluates individually. If you’re not a fit, we say so and refund.
Do you take patients outside 30–60?+
We focus on 30–60 because that’s where our dual-specialty expertise is most relevant. Edge cases are reviewed individually — apply and share your situation.
I have a history of thyroid cancer or MEN2. Can I apply?+
Personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 is a contraindication for GLP-1 therapy. We can’t responsibly prescribe in those cases and will tell you so before taking any payment.
I’m pregnant or trying to conceive. Can I apply?+
GLP-1 medications are not indicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or active attempts to conceive. Your physician will confirm this at intake and recommend alternatives if appropriate.
I’m already on GLP-1 with another provider. Can I transfer?+
Yes — many WOP patients transfer. Your physician reviews your current regimen and labs, then either continues what’s working or recommends adjustments. Most transfers happen because a patient wanted more physician attention than their previous clinic provided.
What Actually Happens in 3 Months.
How much weight will I lose?+
Individual results vary significantly based on starting weight, medical history, adherence, hormonal factors, and individual biology. Clinical trials on GLP-1 medications show meaningful average weight reductions over time. Three months is long enough to see a clear individualized trend, but outcomes within that window vary widely. Your physician sets realistic expectations at intake.
When will I notice changes?+
Many patients report appetite shifts within the first week or two. Visible weight changes typically lag behind the appetite changes. Weeks 4–8 is where most patients see steadier trends once dose is individualized.
Do I need to diet or exercise?+
The medication works on its own, but results are best when combined with reasonable eating and movement habits — not extreme restriction. Your physician will share evidence-based guidance during the intake and you can use unlimited consults to work through specifics as they come up.
What if I hit a plateau?+
Book a consult — that’s exactly what unlimited access is for. Your physician will review the plateau in context (dose, sleep, stress, hormonal factors) and adjust the plan accordingly.
What about my hormones?+
If intake labs show thyroid dysfunction, low testosterone, insulin resistance, or other relevant findings, your WOP physician addresses them as part of the program. Weight and hormones are one clinical system — we treat them as one.
The Practical Details.

Unlimited physician consultations, the full metabolic + hormone panel (physician-ordered), compounded GLP-1 medication, all injection supplies, direct physician messaging, dose titration, and the end-of-program review. No other charges across the 3 months.
Does insurance cover this?+
No. WOP is cash-pay by design. Itemized receipts are available on request for HSA/FSA submission.
Do I need to come into an office?+
No. All consults happen via secure video. Labs are collected at a walk-in LabCorp or Quest near you. Medication ships to your door.
How private is this?+
Fully HIPAA-protected. Shipping is unmarked. Billing statements are discreet. We don’t sell, share, or market based on your health data — ever.
Who are the physicians exactly?+
